The weather is warming up so Mr. Cash decided to get our very spoiled pups some doggy ice cream. When we got back from our walk I decided to give Buckeye and Brutus their special treat. Needless to say they LOVED it and were very good boys sharing it too.

Goodbye K
Tuesday was a sad day for our family. Min's (and Joo's, but to a lesser extent) good friend K moved to Pennsylvania that day. Min and K grew up together from babies to second graders at BME. Our family and K has some great memories together. My favorite was in 2004 after one of the hurricanes, our families went to the Magic Kingdom where Min and K shared a double stroller and tried to stay dry during the occasional rain shower. Good luck K, we will miss you!! Come visit soon!!

Changes Afoot
Our home builder has finally decided to build a house on the lot next to ours. We have been anticipating this event since we moved into our neighborhood two years ago. It is exciting to watch because you leave for work in the morning and return in the afternoon to find walls where there weren't any when you left. However, the family and I will now be woken up by 7:00 every morning including weekends for the next 4 months. Now, all teachers out there know that summers are for sleeping in, so much for that this year. Maybe I will get so used to the noise that I will be able to sleep right through it. The house is for sale so if you know anyone in the market, send them our way. :)

It's a Dogs Life
Well, I have waited long enough to write about my dogs, Buckeye and Brutus. These dogs are such characters that I had to share some of their quirks with everyone. The dogs enjoy playing fetch, but they both like to bring the toy back together. Buckeye's favorite place to sleep is our coffee table. He climbs up on the loveseat and then steps onto the coffee table. He can get up quite easily, but has a hard time getting down. Brutus' favorite place to sleep is on the back of the loveseat. I took these pictures tonight when the dogs crashed after playing.

Happy Easter
For the last couple of weekends, our family has been busy with Easter festivities. Last weekend, our neighborhood held the first annual Easter egg hunt for the children. Min and Joo had a great time finding the hidden eggs, playing with the neighborhood children and eating all of the goodies inside the eggs. This Saturday, the kids and I went to Mrs. J's house for our annual Easter party. We have been doing this party ever since the kids were babies so Min and Joo very much look forward to it. First, we eat lunch, then the kids dye eggs and then they have the much anticipated egg hunt. The dying of the eggs is always the funniest part because one (or more) child always leaves with his/her hands dyed the color of an easter egg. I have learned over the years to always bring a change of clothes for that part of the party. It gets quite messy, but is a lot of fun and this year proved no different. Hope the Easter Bunny brings everyone lots of candy this year!

Life's a Beach
On the last day of our spring break, Cash, the kids and I went to the beach. I have always wanted to go to Caladesi Island but in the 12 years that we have lived here have never been so we took Friday and made the trek over there. For those of you who don't know, Caladesi Island is in the Gulf of Mexico off Clearwater and is consistently ranked in the top 10 beaches of the United States. Technically, the "island" is connected to Clearwater and apparently you can walk to it if you would like to walk 3-4 miles. We opted to take the ferry. Due to a front coming thru that day, the surf was pretty rough so we wouldn't let Min and Joo venture out too far. They had a blast anyway. The beach was very nice, lots of shells and very secluded. Our group was the first ones on the beach which was neat. We even got to see dolphins on the ferry ride over.

This week is our spring break (the kids and I) so we have been keeping ourselves busy. On Tuesday, we went on our annual trip to the EPCOT Flower and Garden Fest. We love seeing all the different flower creations, but we mainly go to play on the playgrounds that are set up. This is the only time of the year that EPCOT has playgrounds for the kids to play on so we make sure to take advantage of them. There were three this year so Min and Joo had a great time. In addition to the playgrounds, we rode Mission Space, it was Joo's first time on it (she's finally tall enough, yeah), we did the Kim Possible Mission in China and ate at Min's favorite restaurant, Nine Dragons in China.
