Go Bucks!!!!

Last month, Cash (my husband) and I went on the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer. My mom, uncle and aunt also joined us. This was one of the best vacations I have ever been on and is now an annual trip for us. Not only was it an awesome trip, but it also raised money for breast cancer research. Chris and Stefanie Spielman (Chris is a former Ohio State football player), along with Travel Partners in Dublin, Ohio, are the hosts for this cruise. Stefanie had breast cancer and has been an advocate for breast cancer research ever since. The money raised benefits the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer research. The cruise includes former Ohio State athletes, coaches, cheerleaders, band members and, of course, Brutus. The entire ship becomes one big Buckeye party. As someone on the cruise said, it's like a bowl game without opponents. I can't wait for February 2010!!! I hope that more people can join us for this great trip!!

Vaccination Records, are you crazy??

I have been accepted into the MA Social Science Education program at UCF. Great, right?! Well, that's what I thought until I found out that I have to submit my vaccination records to them before I can even register for classes. Apparently, students are required to have 2 MMR's before taking classes. Do you know how hard it is to find shot records that are over 30 years old?! My doctors are no longer living so that option is out. Luckily, I found my military records from when my dad was in the military that lists all of my shots up to 1982. Turns out when I got my shots there was no MMR, instead it was 3 seperate shots and you only had to have one of each. Sooo, today I visited the Take Care Clinic and got my second MMR. Now let's hope UCF accepts the rest of my vaccines or I will be visiting the clinc once again. I am faxing the paper work in next week. Everyone think good thoughts!
